We are pleased to announce that booking is now open for the King’s Health Economics Summer School 2018, “Economic Evaluation in Mental Health”, taking place at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience in Denmark Hill, South East London.
This year the course runs from the 1st to 2nd July 2018.
 
This two-day course aims to provide students with an understanding of economic evaluation in health and its relevance to policy and practice. Students will be introduced to the following concepts with examples from a range of mental and physical health disorders:
 
• Types and methods of economic evaluation
• Identification, measurement and valuation of costs
• Measurement and valuation of outcomes
• Decision modelling for health economic evaluation
 
The course is aimed at:
 
• Individuals working in health services policy, practice or research settings (including public and
private sector) who are keen to learn more about what economic evaluation offers and how to
do it;
• Health care professionals wishing to critically evaluate economic evaluation research and assess
its relevance to their field/setting;
• Individuals collaborating with health economists wishing to learn more about their role and
methods
 
This course is CPD accredited.
