The Health Economics and Policy Research Unit (HEPRU), Queen Mary University of London, UK is looking to recruit Senior/ Health Economists.
 
Post-doctoral health economists (or equivalent experience) with evidence for high quality research and outputs and an ambition/ aptitude for evaluative data-driven research. Good knowledge of health economics methodology, including economic evaluation and decision analytic modelling, strong analytical skills, and effective team-working and communication skills are essential.
 
The post holders will join the health economics unit researching the economic aspects of health and disease; the costs and benefits of prevention, diagnosis and treatment; and the contribution and implications for health systems and health policy. They will focus on projects in one or more disease/policy areas involving initiating research proposals; developing/conducting health economic studies emanating from successful proposals; and broader methodological and strategic activities.

2) Job Opportunity: Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Health Economics, University of Manchester, UK

Salary: £43,414 to £53,353 per annum (depending on experience)
 
This is an exciting post-doctoral position to work primarily on the econometric evaluation of a policy relating to social prescribing link workers in England and Scotland. The successful candidate will also work on other projects related to the econometric analysis of health and social care data.
 
You will work with Dr Luke Munford, Senior Lecturer in Health Economics; Professor Matt Sutton, Professor of Health Economics; and a wider team based throughout the UK (seehttps://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR134066 for more details). 
 
Candidates will need a PhD in Economics or Health Economics. We will consider candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting examination. Candidates will also need experience of analysing large administrative and survey datasets. A proven record of productivity is required, including contribution to manuscripts for academic journals.

The Health Economics Group at the Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia is one of the largest academic groups in health economics in the East of England, having established itself in the mid-1990s. The group seeks to expand with the recruitment of an additional full-time post (although applications from those wishing to work part-time or as a job share will be considered), at Lecturer or Associate Professor level, to contribute to the Group’s research and teaching profile. The successful candidate will be willing to take a leadership role commensurate with experience and to teach on our Master of Science in Health Economics to ensure the course thrives as a flagship postgraduate course for the Norwich Medical School.
 
You will contribute to world-leading health economics research and educate health economics, medical and other students at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Candidates with interests in any aspect of health economics are welcome, although candidates with expertise in health econometrics, discrete choice methodology, or decision analytic modelling for economic evaluation in health technology assessment are particularly encouraged to apply.
 
You will hold a good first degree in economics, a related quantitative subject, or a relevant health-related degree and good postgraduate qualification with substantial health economics components. You will preferably have prior experience of teaching within higher education, you should be able to contribute to teaching and learning at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.

5) PhD Scholarship - University of Auckland

 
PhD – Health Economics – Population Health – Genomics – Cancer
 
Applications are invited for a PhD Scholarship evaluating the value of genomics in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Scholarship is provided by Te Aka Mātauranga Matepukupuku, the Centre for Cancer Research, at the University of Auckland. The studentship will be based in the School of Population and supervised by Prof Paula Lorgelly.
 
The scholarship funds fees and a stipend to the value of $33,000 for 3 years. Research costs are also provided.   Recruitment is open to both domestic and international candidates. There is no fee differential for international PhD students, and students may work while studying (research assistant and graduate teaching assistant work will be available).
