Network Health Economics International PhD Program in Health Economics and
Policy in Switzerland
The Network Health Economics' is a close collaboration between six Swiss
universities (Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano and Zurich) to develop
specific courses in health economics and policy. The Network is proud to
announce the creation of a new PhD program focusing on Health Economics and
Policy.
Applications are invited for a three-year studentship in health economics
and policy in Switzerland.
The 'PhD program' is intended for PhD students from Swiss universities as
well as PhD students from foreign universities who are willing to enhance
their specific knowledge and sharpen their capabilities in the field of
health economics and policy. Students enrolled in the program will be able
to pursue a PhD program in economics in their own university and benefit
from the health economics and policy focused program offered by the
Network .
Successful applicants to the PhD program offered by the 'Network Health
Economics' will have to fulfil the admission requirements for the doctoral
program in economics at the University granting the title they pursue.
Candidates should have or be about to complete a Masters degree in
Economics or in Health Economics. They should be willing to pursue a PhD
degree in Economics at any partner university of the Network Health
Economics (currently Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano and Zurich) or
already be enrolled in a PhD program in Economics in another university and
be willing to take the specialisation curriculum with the Network Health
Economics in Switzerland. The PhD thesis topic must be in the field of
Health Economics and Policy.
