People who have an interest in quantitative research, and who want to learn about infectious disease models and health economic evaluation. E.g. health economists, (bio)statisticians, mathematicians who want to expand their toolbox, health science professionals and policy advisors who want to have a deeper understanding of cost-effectiveness analysis when it is applied to vaccines.
Participants are expected to bring a laptop computer with freeware R and MS Excel installed on it. They are expected to be relatively familiar with R. If not, following an online R course prior to the SIMID course is necessary (information will be provided).
Participants do not need prior experience in economic or infectious disease modelling.
The minimum and maximum number of course participants are set at 10 and 30, respectively.
