We are looking for a post-doc researcher to play a key role in developing high quality, policy-relevant work in the area of disability research at LISER, in collaboration with stakeholders and international academic partners. The initial priority project will be to lay the ground for developing a system of personal assistance (incl. personal budgets) for people with disabilities in Luxembourg, drawing on the international evidence as well as the evidence produced in the research process. The work will comprise a strong component of quantitative analysis (e.g. assessing the economic conditions of people with disabilities, the assessment of the resources needed by people with disabilities, etc.), research synthesis (e.g. on lessons learnt from experience with personal assistance in other countries) as well as some qualitative work (e.g. structured interviews with stakeholders, people with disabilities and their families).
Your Role
In collaboration with the Head of the Research Programme on Health and Health Systems (Professor Marc Suhrcke), Professor Germain Weber (Professor of Psychology of Intellectual Disabilities, University of Vienna), as well as other LISER researchers, the Research Associate will be asked to:
- contribute to and/or lead on the production of research outputs primarily in the topic of socioeconomic aspects of disability,
- undertake statistical, econometric analysis of survey and/or administrative data on the socioeconomic situation and the needs of people with disabilities,
- potentially help develop small-scale (n<250) survey data collection with people with disabilities and their individual support intensity, and related costs,
- contribute to the development of an evidence based assessment tool on the individual support intensity,
- review and critique relevant literature on the socioeconomic aspects of disability, with a focus on personal budgets,
- write or contribute to scientific publications and reports,
- disseminate research findings, including public engagement to non-research specialist organisations using appropriate media,
- make presentations at conferences or exhibit work in other appropriate events,
- help shape the current and future research programme in LISER in the field of disability research, by identifying opportunities for new research, and
- contribute to the preparation and writing of grant proposals.

7) Research Consultant - HTA
York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) is looking to recruit a Research Consultant to undertake a wide range of projects in the Health Economic Modelling work stream. YHEC is a health economics contract research and consulting company owned by, and based at the University of York.
