JOB TITLE:
onderzoeker-in-opleiding (O.I.O. = Ph.D. student).

FIELD:
heterogeneous catalysis
theoretical and computational chemistry

RESEARCH DESCRIPTION:
The Ph.D. student's job will be the calculation and interpretation of
infrared spectra of the acidic group in zeolites and the influence of
adsorbed molecules on these spectra. The research will consist of doing
quantum chemical calculations to determine potential energy surfaces,
vibrational calculations including anharmonicities, and the development
of methods to include many degrees of freedom.

REQUIREMENTS:
We're looking for someone with a master's degree (or similar) in
chemical physics, theoretical chemical, computational chemistry, or
theoretical physics.

SALARY:
An O.I.O.-position is a temporary position for four years. The salary is
about 2100 guilders per month before tax in the first year and increases
to about 3800 guilders per month before tax in the final year.
