Lectureship in Applied Mathematics

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer
in Applied Mathematics from 1 October
1998, or as soon as possible thereafter. Applicants
should have a strong research record, or
evidence of strong potential in research. The person
appointed will either broaden or
strengthen the present research group, which has expertise
in continuum mechanics (fluid and solids), dynamical systems,
financial mathematics and partial differential equations.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach students in
the Mathematics Department and to provide ancillary teaching to
other departments within the College.

The starting salary will be at an appropriate point on the lecturer
scale, #16045 - #27985, plus a London allowance of #2134.
