THE ASIA PACIFIC CENTER FOR THEORETICAL PHYSICS

The APCTP was established in October 1996 in Seoul, Korea, with Professor
C. N. Yang as the Founding President. The APCTP is an international
research institution pursuing highest quality topical research in all areas
of theoretical physics.
The Center is seeking several qualified Ph.D. physicists for Postdoctoral
positions starting from September 1, 1998 or later upon request.
The term of the appointment is for one year, renewable for the second year.
Annual gross stipend starts from $ 25,000 or up, depending on the
qualification and experience.
A research grant is also available. Limited number of affordable
accommodations near the center may be provided.

The APCTP is an international
research institution pursuing highest quality topical research in all areas
of theoretical physics. The Center invites a few research scientists at
the assistant professor level or up for the terms of three to five years.
Minimum of two terms of postdoctoral research experience or the
equivalent is required. The appointment will begin September 1, 1998 or later.
The expected gross annual stipend is around $ 60,000 depending on
qualification and experience. A research grant is also available. Limited number of affordable
accommodations near the center may be provided.
The appointees are expected to contribute to the academic programs of the
center and to establish research programs.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and a statement of present and
future research interests, and should have three letters of recommendation
sent by January 31, 1998 to Prof.
