Subject: Call for Submissions Spring Conference Physics of Socio Economic
Systems 2011 / Young Scientist Award Nominations
Dear friends and colleagues,
it is my pleasure to invite your contributions to the upcoming Spring
Conference of the German Physical Society to be held March 13-18, 2011, in
the beautiful city of Dresden, Germany. As every year, it hosts sessions of
the PHYSICS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC SYSTEMS Division.
For details see http://dresden11.dpg-tagungen.de/index.html?lang=en&
As you will see at the end of this mail, we will have a PHANTASTIC PROGRAM.
Just your contribution is missing so far! Please don't miss the DEADLINE for
abstract submission on DECEMBER 1st (and consider that the server may be
overloaded on the last days - so better submit by November 20).
The SCOPE of our workshop includes:
- Financial Markets and Risk Management
- Economic Models and Evolutionary Game Theory
- Traffic Dynamics, Urban and Regional Systems
- Social Systems, Opinion and Group Dynamics
- Networks: From Topology to Dynamics
Submissions for other relevant subject areas are welcome as well.
Also, I would like to invite your nominations for the prestigious YOUNG
SCIENTIST AWARD IN SOCIO- AND ECONOPHYSICS (endowed with 5.000 EUR). Your
substantiated nomination of a researcher of 40 years or younger at the time
of the award ceremony on March 14th 2011 is welcome at
http://www.dpg-physik.de/dpg/gliederung/fv/soe/YSA/call.html. Nominations
are accepted until DECEMBER 1st, 2010.
I would be glad to meet you in Dresden.
Best wishes,
Dirk Helbing
Chairman of the Physics of Socio-Economics Systems Division of the DPG

P.S.: Please circulate this mail to potentially interested colleagues and
display the conference poster, which is downloadable at:
