         SOUTHERN WORKSHOP ON GRANULAR MATTER 2012

Our workshop intends to address a variety of theoretical and  
experimental issues in granular physics. We are particularly  
interested on the dynamics and rheology of granular flows (with and  
without interstitial fluids), segregation, granular statics, aging and  
the statistical mechanics of granular gases and fluids.  We hope as  
well to emphasize the practical point of view such as applications to  
industrial processes, or soil mechanics, without abandoning the basic  
science aspect of granular materials.

There will be a registration fee of US$500 on arrival. It includes  
lodging (four nights at the hotel) and living expenses during the  
meeting.
