Anuncio de postdoc de 3 años en el grupo de Bárbara Capone en Roma 3.
Inicio: enero de 2022
Fecha límite: 20 de octubre de 2021
Saludos,
Carlos
Dear Carlos,
I am writing you as there will be an opening in my group for a 3 years researcher position on the topic “Design of smart polymeric adsorption at the nanoscale”
The position is now open, with application that should be submitted by the 20th of October.
The research will be focused on the design of smart functionalised material at the nanoscale, that will be designed to selectively adsorb and remove specific contaminants (such as heavy metals) from aqueous solutions.
Up to now we managed to design polymeric materials that can adsorb a cargo in solution, and we have been able to extend results gathered on macromolecules of spherical symmetry onto macromolecules of different geometries.
We found a universality class for adsorption, as a function of a few microscopic details, and we now need to focus on selectivity, on the effect of flux on adsorption, and on generalising the results to different grafted substrates, finite density effects (…)
Thank you!
Best
Barbara
