Dear all,

We have an opening for a postdoctoral research associate at the
Mathematics Institute at Imperial College to work on evolution and
dynamics of networks.

If you know of suitable candidates, I would be grateful if you could
pass on the attached info.

With best regards,

Mauricio Barahona

Jobs description (obtained from PDF, as FISES list does not allow attachments)

Networks: Emergence and dynamics
Research Associate
Based at the Institute for Mathematical Sciences

Imperial College is ranked in the top ten universities of the world, according
to the 2006 Times Higher Education Supplement league tables.

The research will involve a theoretical part: creating a model of nodes with
internal dynamics coupled together via a dynamical network with a focus on the
relationship between internal node dynamics and the dynamics of the network, and
an experimental component: analysis of functional MRI time series to inform and
inspire the theoretical component.

As part of a research team consisting of M. Barahona (Bioengineering), K.
Christensen (Physics), F. Turkheimer (Neuroscience) and H.J. Jensen
(Mathematics) you will be expected to have a PhD in a subject of relevance to
complexity science, dynamical systems and statistical mechanics or closely
related disciplines and to have high level computational skills.

This position is available for a period of three years, and the salary on
appointment will be in the range of £23,850 to £27,240 per annum.

A job description, further particulars and an application form can be obtained
from the following website: http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/employment/research

Completed application forms should be sent with a full curriculum vitae and list
of publications to Mrs Rusudan Svanidze, Department of Mathematics, 651 Huxley
Building, Imperial College London, SW7 2AZ. Email: [log in para visualizar]
