BIPEDD INTERNATIONAL CALL
The BIPEDD https://solea.quim.ucm.es/bipedd/ group is seeking to hire a
postdoctoral researcher in the area of
Structural Bioinformatics. BIPEDD (Bioinformatics integrative platform for
structure-based drug discovery) is a
newly created research group by the Regional Government of Madrid, including
researchers from several areas and
highest education institutions.
Position will be with one of the groups participating in BIPEDD: The
Bioinformatics Unit (http://ub.cbm.uam.es) at
the Centro de Biologia Molecular "Severo Ochoa" (Autonomous University of
Madrid – UAM, Madrid, Spain)
BIPEDD is seeking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in the area
of Structural Bioinformatics. The
position involves research in the development of advanced methods in
protein-ligand docking and virtual screening,
with application to pharmacologically relevant targets in the field of
antibiotic and antitumoral research. The ideal
applicant should have a background in physics or chemical physics, good
programming skills, good ability for
teamwork, and previous experience in Bioinformatics research.
We offer excellent research conditions, with state-of-the-art
infrastructure, within the highly dynamical and
collaborative research environment of the UAM Campus, and in the lively city
of Madrid. The position has six
month duration and could be subjected to renewal, with an annual salary of
27000 €.
