Non-Tenure-Track Position for Research in Nonlinear Dynamics
and Teaching in General and Physical Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry, West Virginia University, has created a
non-tenure-track position for research in nonlinear chemical dynamics. The
position combines research with teaching in the general and physical
chemistry programs. The position title will be Research Assistant
Professor, Research Associate Professor, or Research Professor, depending
on the qualifications of the successful applicant. The initial appointment
:
will be for one year with anticipated yearly reappointment, and the annual
salary will be $40,000.
Teaching experience in chemistry and/or physics is preferred. A Ph.D. in
chemistry, physics, or a related field is required. Applicants should have
research expertise in conducting nonlinear chemical experiments and
carrying out computational modeling studies. Experimental and theoretical
investigations will be conducted on perturbed excitable media.
Applications will be reviewed through March 31, 2003, with an anticipated
starting date of July 1, 2003. Applicants should contact Kenneth Showalter
by email ([log in para visualizar]) or regular mail at the address below. Please
supply a curriculum vita and arrange for two letters of recommendation to
be sent to the same email or regular mail address.
