Dear Colleague,
I have a postdoctoral position available on quantum dot formation. The
proposed research mainly involves Monte Carlo simulations of island
formation with and without strain (submonolayer and multi-layer
epitaxy), as well as analytical work on island formation under the
influence of strain. Some of the other research directions my group is
involved in are described on my homepage (http://www.nd.edu/~alb). The
ideal candidate should have a statistical mechanics background, with
experience in numerical simulations (previous work on quantum dots is
not required).
I would appreciate it if you would bring this to the attention of
suitable candidates. I shall be at the APS March Meeting from Tuesday
until Thursday and would like to meet with anyone who is interested.
Your sincerely,
laszlo
