We are offering a research position for a talented and motivated early-career scientist to join our team at the Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (CSIC-Universidad de Zaragoza) to work in the frame of the project DINAMITHE (Distinctive polymer–nucleic acid biomaterials for microRNA therapy), which aims to harness the synergy between polymer chemistry and nucleic acid nanotechnology to boost the potential of RNA nanotherapies.
We are seeking a highly enthusiastic candidate with a strong academic background in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. The selected researcher will be involved in the design and synthesis of nucleic acid nanostructures and dynamic polymeric materials, and in their application to gene therapy strategies.
The host group is the Liquid Crystals and Polymers Group (https://liquidcrystals.unizar.es) at Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA) in Zaragoza, Spain – recognized as a Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence.
Eligibility:
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Biochemistry or a related discipline
- Excellent academic record
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
