        DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: DECEMBER 1, 1998.

    The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at
The University of Western Ontario invites applications for
a tenure track position beginning July 1, 1999.

    Applicants to both positions must have a Ph.D. with
native or near native command of Spanish and English.

    SPANISH LANGUAGE TEACHING: Language specialist with
demonstrated excellence in teaching at all levels;
evidence of commitment to research; training in pedagogy;
ability to offer graduate level courses in second language
acquisition methodology; supervise Teaching Assistants.
