Location: Cologne, Germany
Dates: Dec. 8, 2016 - Dec. 9, 2016

We are also pleased to announce a special issue on Behavioral Experiments in Health in the journal Health Economics related to the workshop.

The workshop is an activity of the Behavioral Experiments in Health Network www.beh-net.org. The workshop brings together researchers who apply behavioral and experimental methods in health economics to present and discuss their papers. We welcome contributions on all topics within health economics applying experimental methods, be it laboratory or field experiments. Topics of this year’s workshop focus on provider incentives, patient behavior, and risk preferences in health (Special CEAR Session on Risk organized by Glenn Harrison). For each paper, we allocate one hour (40 minutes presentation, 10 minutes discussion by discussant, and 10 minutes general discussion) to provide participants with the opportunity for an in-depth discussion.

If you are interested in presenting a paper, please submit either the full paper (if available), or an extended abstract of up to 1,000 words that addresses each of the following: objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Please send submissions to: [log in para visualizar]

The deadline for submission is September 4th, 2016. Authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of their paper by October 7th, 2016.

Special issue in Health Economics: Authors of the papers accepted for presentation at the workshop are encouraged to contribute to a special issue on Behavioral Experiments in Health in the journal Health Economics. Further details on the special issue will be announced soon.
