Online course: Introduction to Health Economic Evaluation, run by the University of Oxford
Dates: Monday 27th July 2020 - Friday 31st July 2020
This short course is for health professionals and health researchers who want to understand the basics of health economics and its relevance to the health service. It explains how economists evaluate the costs and benefits of health interventions, and how health economics is used by decision makers in health services and in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries.
The course will comprise of a mix of pre-recorded lectures, practical exercises to reinforce concepts presented, and live sessions with tutors to go over exercises and to provide an opportunity for questions. Lectures and exercises can be worked through at a time to suit participants, before the daily live sessions with tutors.
