Health Economics Bristol (HEB) will be running “Introduction to Economic Evaluation” in May 2021, as part of the Bristol Medical School programme of short courses. The course provides an introduction to the theory and practice of economic evaluation in health and care. By the end of the course participants will have:

•	an understanding of the theoretical frameworks which guide economic evaluation;
•	knowledge of the methods used to measure and value costs, health and broader outcomes of care;
•	an overview of trials and modelling techniques used to evaluate efficiency;
•	brief practical experience of analysing cost and outcomes data;
•	critical appraisal skills for assessing of published economic evaluations and
•	insight into the role of economic evidence in local and national (i.e. NICE) decision making in England.

The course will run from 12-14 May 2021. In light of the current COVID-19 restrictions, the course will be held online and will comprise a mix of live and pre-recorded lecture material, interspersed with practical sessions. For further information, and a link to book a place on the course, please see: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/medical-school/study/short-courses/2020-21-courses/introduction-to-economic-evaluation/
