Call for Papers 2015 AHES Conference Brisbane (1-2 October 2015)

Our annual AHES conference will be held in Brisbane on 1-2 October 2015, at the Stamford Plaza Brisbane Hotel this year.  The local organisers are: Jenny Whitty (University of Queensland), Tracy Comans (Griffith University) and Hong Son Nghiem (University of Queensland).
 
We are delighted to announce that our keynote speakers for the 2015 conference will be Professor James P. Smith, Distinguished Chair in Labour Markets and Demographic Studies from the Santa Monica Office of the RAND Cooperation and Professor Robyn Ward, Deputy-Vice Chancellor (Research) at the University of Queensland, Director of the Translational Cancer Research Network and Chair of the Medical Services Advisory Committee. 
 
Abstracts are now invited for: 
 
1.	Short presentations (20 minutes+ 5 min question time),
2.	Long presentations (35 minutes presentation plus a discussant (10min)+ 5 min question time) and
3.	Organised sessions (100 minutes, consisting three to four papers and a discussant)
 
All Submissions are to be made via our online abstract submission form by the deadline of: Sunday, 5 July 2015.
 
Long paper submissions will require a full paper (maximum 8000 words, in pdf format) to be submitted with the abstract, all selected papers will have a discussant allocated.  Papers that are not accepted for a long paper will be considered for the short paper sessions. 
 
AHES is also offering the Early Career Researcher Prize and the AHES travel scholarship this year. Eligible applicants must submit a full paper (maximum 8,000 words, in pdf format) together with your abstract by the deadline.  Please note, papers that are entered in the Early Career Researcher Prize will NOT be considered for the long paper format sessions.  More guidance is provided on our website.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Review Committee, and notifications will be sent to the main contact/presenting author no later than Friday 31 July 2015.
