We are delighted to be hosting the 4th ICECAP users’ workshop as an iHEA pre-Congress session on Sunday 14 July, in Basel, Switzerland.

The ICECAP measures have been developed for measuring individual and carer capability for economic evaluations of health and care interventions (see www.birmingham.ac.uk/icecap for more information). Previous ICECAP users’ workshops have enabled existing and future ICECAP users an opportunity to meet to discuss research findings, and to collaborate on research ideas. This will be the first time that the ICECAP users’ workshop has been hosted outside of the UK, and this first international hosting of the workshop will provide the potential for generating exciting future collaborations across countries to emerge and flourish into the future.

The programme for the day will include talks on the latest developments with the ICECAP measures, including new work on developing child capability measures and translation, practical applications of existing ICECAP measures (for example, in the contexts of caring and dementia), and new findings from a comprehensive programme of work designed to set cost-effectiveness thresholds for using ICECAP measures in decision making. There will be extensive opportunities for discussion and networking.

The 4th ICECAP users’ workshop is free and open to all to attend, but advance registration is required. To attend, please e-mail Paul Mitchell ([log in para visualizar]) stating you would like to attend. Spaces at the workshop are limited, so please register your interest in taking part in the workshop at your earliest convenience.
