The LSHTM (The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine) is about to create the new role of a Professor of Health and Social Care Policy. This is an exciting new professorship at the Department of Health Services Research and Policy / Faculty for Public Health and Policy and the successful candidate will closely work with Professors Ellen Nolte and Nicholas Mays.

They are keen to recruit someone with substantial experience in social care policy.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to one of the UK Government funded research units at the Department and to the School's teaching programme, including (and perhaps especially) the running of the Doctorate in Public Health. The LSHTM has also committed itself to establish a Policy and Leadership Institute to influence domestic and global public health policy more effectively and the post holder will have an opportunity to develop and shape this initiative. Plus, of course, the LSHTM is a great place to work.

The closing date for applications is 3 August 2020.
