Dear colleague,


I am writing to bring to your attention an opening for *2 postdoc
positions* (https://www.jobs.manchester.ac.uk/displayjob.aspx?jobid=18713)
in condensed matter theory, devoted to the study of the physical
properties and the interplay between magnetism/quantum orders and
optics/electronics in novel two-dimensional materials and their
heterostructures. The work will be based at the Department of Physics
and Astronomy of the University of Manchester, in my group, and offers
the opportunity for a close collaboration with world-leading
experimental groups.


We seek *two theorists* with an active interest and excellent track
record of publications in the physics of low-dimensional materials
and/or in strongly-correlated quantum systems. Funding is provided by a
Leverhulme Trust Standard Grant. The two posts are available from 1
September 2020 for various periods ranging from 12 to 36 months.
