XXI SITGES CONFERENCE on STATISTICAL MECHANICS:
Statistical Mechanics of Molecular Biophysics.

Dear Colleague,

This is the announcement and call for contributions to the XXI
Sitges Conference on Statistical Mechanics, to be held in
Sitges, a charming seaside resort near Barcelona (Spain), from
the 2nd until the 6th of June 2008.

The title of this forthcoming edition of the Sitges Conference will
be ``Statistical Mechanics of Molecular Biophysics' , and we are
inviting prominent researchers working in the general fields of
physics, biology and chemistry, both experimental and theoretical.
There will be specific sessions regarding the self-assembly in
biological systems, protein aggregation and crystallization, protein
folding and denaturation, reactions in biosystems with a few
molecules, single molecule microfluidics, transport phenomena and
molecular motors. This Conference intends to stimulate a discussion
between biologists, physicists, and chemists about the cellular
behavior to favor the interchange and cross-fertilization of ideas,
and to deepen the understanding of the open questions in the field.
