Dear colleagues,
please pass the information to anyone who may be interested.
All the best,
M. Angeles Serrano and R. Reigada
Call for a PhD student at the Unit of Multiscale Modeling of Biological Systems of the SOC&SAM group at the University of Barcelona.
We are offering a 3-year PhD grant to graduated students in Chemistry, Physics or Biology interested in theoretical models and numerical simulations of biophysical systems. The successful candidate can start anytime during 2011. She/he will be incorporated in the Physical Chemistry Department of the University of Barcelona and will count with all the support and research resources of our team. The selected PhD student would eventually have the possibility of visiting leading international groups in the context of her/his research activity.
We propose a multiscale multidisciplinary research project that will address theoretical modeling and numerical simulations of biological systems, focusing on the interplay between cell membrane organization (lipid rafts, protein signaling) and biological networks (signaling, genomic, metabolic).
If you are interested contact by email Ramon Reigada ([log in para visualizar]) or M. Angeles Serrano ([log in para visualizar]).
