Dear Colleagues,

I want to bring your attention to the International Conference
"Engineering of Chemical Complexity" (Harnack House, Berlin, 4 - 8 July
2011). The conference is organized by Berlin Center for Studies of Complex
Chemical Systems. The honorary chairman of the conference and the chairman
of the scientific council of the Center is the Nobel Prize laureate, prof.
G. Ertl.

Berlin Center for Studies of Complex Chemical Systems (BCSCCS) is an
association of scientists established to promote fundamental research,
exchange of information and international contacts in experimental and
theoretical studies of complex chemical systems. The aim of this
conference is to review current progress in understanding, design and
control of complex chemical systems of various origins, on the scales
ranging from single molecules to macroscopic chemical reactors.
Self-organization phenomena and emergence of coherent collective dynamics
in reaction-diffusion systems, in nonequilibrium soft matter and in
chemical networks will be discussed. Special attention will be paid to
applications in molecular biology and problems of biochemical evolution.
Both theoretical and experimental aspects will be considered. The
conference will include plenary lectures, mini-symposia with invited and
contributed talks, and poster sessions.

Please reserve the week of 3-9 July 2011 in your calendar and bookmark the
conference´s web site www.bcsccs.de/conference where detailed information
about this meeting can be found. Online registration and submission of
contributed talks and posters will be opened in February.

I would appreciate if you could forward this announcement to the others.

Best regards,

Markus Baer
