An exploratory workshop in Hamiltonian Dynamical Systems with a
particular emphasis on future developments rather than past
achievements.
Topics to be discussed are expected to include :
Probabilistic methods and Ergodic theory
Variational methods
Bifurcation theory (local and glocal)
Symmetry (discrete and continuous)
(Arnol'd) Diffusion and transport
Numerical methods (geometric integration)
Integrable systems and their perturbations
Mechanical systems with nonholonomic constraints
This workshop is being made possible by support of the Prodyn
programme of the European Science Foundation, and the Department of
Mathematics of Imperial College.
