Compressible Convection conference announcement by Toby Wood


Dear colleague,

Registration for the Compressible Convection Conference 2019 is now open 
via the website:
https://conferences.ncl.ac.uk/ccc2019/
The conference will be held at Newcastle University from*2-6 September 
2019*.

This meeting is designed to bring together researchers from the stellar, 
planetary, atmospheric and deep-Earth research communities,
who share an interest in convection and compressible fluid dynamics.  
Following the successful meeting held in Lyon in 2017,
this meeting will address the strengths and limitations of various 
models for compressible flows (Boussinesq, anelastic, 
pseudo-incompressible, etc.)
and the role played by compressibility in waves, instabilities and 
turbulence.

Registration and abstract submission will remain open until July 5^th .  
After that time, we will send a confirmation email to participants
with a link to the online payment system.  The standard conference fee 
will be £100, with an additional £60 for the optional excursion
and dinner at Alnwick Castle.
