As is quite common in our Q&J stories, today the action takes place in the Mallville Public Library, although not dealing specifically with any library subject. So we diversify our vocabulary.

Some library users have complained to Mel, the manager, because they noticed a foul odor.

Mel: -People are complaining about a smell.

Dewey: -They're always complaining about something.

Mel: -Find it.

Dewey: -I'm not a bloodhound.

Mel: -Afraid of what you might uncover?

Dewey: -Yes. And even more afraid I'll have to clean it up.

 

 

TRADUCCIÓN

Como es bastante habitual en nuestras historietas de Q&J, hoy la acción transcurre también en la Biblioteca Pública de Mallville, aunque no trata ningún tema específicamente bibliotecario. Así vamos diversificando el vocabulario.

Algunos lectores de la biblioteca se han quejado a Mel, la directora, porque han notado un olor desagradable.

 

Mel: -La gente se queja de un olor.

Dewey: -Siempre se quejan de algo.

Mel: -Encuentra qué es.

Dewey: -Yo no soy un sabueso.

Mel: -¿Miedo de lo que podrías descubrir?

Dewey: -Sí. Y todavía más miedo a tenerlo que limpiar.

history [jístory] = historia

odor = smell = olor

foul = stinking = fetid = maloliente, fétido

to clean up = limpiar (completamente)
