Oferta dirigida a estudiantes interesados en la Investigación en GENÓMICA Y METAGENÓMICA (BIOINFORMÁTICA) en posesión del título de Licenciatura/Grado (Biología/ Bioquímica, Biotecnología, o similar) interesados en hacer una Tesis Doctoral y concurrir a una Beca Predoctoral dentro del grupo de investigación “Evolutionary Genomics Group” de la Universidad Miguel Hernández - Departamento de Producción Vegetal y Microbiología - Campus de San Juan de Alicante.

PROYECTO:
La Tesis Doctoral se enmarcaría dentro del Proyecto de Investigación “REVISANDO LA ECOLOGÍA Y EVOLUCIÓN DE LA MICRODIVERSIDAD BACTERIANA MEDIANTE METAGENÓMICA DE TERCERA GENERACIÓN (MICRO3GEN)”. En este proyecto, utilizaremos el enorme potencial de la secuenciación de tercera generación junto con la metagenómica, la genómica comparativa, los datos medioambientales y la biología computacional para mejorar nuestra comprensión de los factores ecológicos y evolutivos que determinan la diversidad intraespecífica entre poblaciones naturales estrechamente relacionadas.

LABORATORIO:
Se trata de un laboratorio muy activo, altamente competitivo en el análisis bioinformático en general, con un amplio estatus internacional y muy valorado. El ambiente de trabajo es dinámico y agradable. Nuestro laboratorio se encuentra en el Campus de San Juan de Alicante

REQUISITOS:
1) Estar en posesión de un título español u homologado de grado o licenciatura en Biología, Bioquímica, Biotecnología, o similar. En el caso de poseer un grado, deberá tener un Máster de al menos 60 créditos completado que le habilite para el acceso al doctorado.
2) Se valorará experiencia previa en Bioinformática.
3) Se valorará experiencia previa en microbiología en general.
4) Buen nivel de inglés hablado y escrito.
