DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKPLACE
The Pere Virgili Institute for Health Research (IISPV) is an institution that integrates research in the field of biomedicine in the “Camp de Tarragona” and the “Terres de l’Ebre”. The IISPV is the instrument that the university hospitals of both health regions have been endowed with (Joan XXIII University Hospital of Tarragona, Verge de la Cinta Hospital of Tortosa, Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital, Institut Pere Mata University Hospital of Reus) and Rovira and Virgili University, in order to bring together and manage biomedical research and innovation in the territory.
GROUP DESCRIPTION: NeuroEpia Group (Clinical and Epidemiological Neurocience) is interested in the study of child neurodevelopment and how several environmental and lifestyle factors influence its development in the human lifecourse.
The selected candidate will perform the following tasks:
Develop research on neuroimaging in several population-based birth cohorts.
Help with data cleaning and data depuration.
Collaborate with scientific articles relating nutrition and child and adolescent neuroimaging outcomes and neuropsychological outcomes.
Help to present works in international conferences.
Help to prepare neuroimaging protocols for future assessments in several cohorts from INMA project (https://www.proyectoinma.org/).
Help the team with the integration of neuroimaging science to epidemiology.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
University degree training in the field of health sciences (medicine, psychology, biology, nutrition) including other degrees related with biostatistics and/or bioinformatics.
REQUIREMENTS
High level of speaking and written expression in English
Knowledge of office automation (Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of softwares related with biostatistics
Aptitude for working in a team, ability to work independently, organisation, kindness, dynamism, versatility, rigour, responsibility and confidentiality.

LABOUR CONDITIONS
Full-time position
Workplace: The Pere Virgili Institute for Health Research (IISPV)
Contract: Indefinite part-time scientific-technician linked to the project Neuroimaging outcomes for studying the association between maternal diet during pregnancy and child neurodevelopment (NutriImage) funded by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR (duration approximately 24 months)
Remuneration: Gross annual salary: 25,000€ to €27,000€/year approximately
Approximate start date: 01/07/2024
SELECTION PROCEDURE

To access the interview phase it is necessary to have obtained a minimum score of 35 points in the sum of scores of the evaluation of the curriculum and cover letter
