DOCfaM+ is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Action (Doctoral training program in Functional Advanced Materials) which is coordinated by ICMAB, the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (Spain). 

A call for an applicant to a PhD in the Official Chemistry doctoral program, Autonomous University of Barcelona and to be executed with the Sensors & Biosensors Research group of the Chemistry Department is open with the specific topic:

Nanomaterials based on molecularly imprinted polymers applied for clinical diagnostics with use of electronic tongue principles

This corresponds to a Marie Sklodowska Curie fellowship, which is the top grant you can get in Europe, both in prestige and in salary.  It is included in the in the Cofund DOCFAM+ program, 2nd call (Spring 2024), covering the chapter: SMART NANOMEDICINE: Development of new materials for sensing devices for human health applications. Also consider the Autonomous University of Barcelona is one of the top research universities in Spain, where doctoral formation with top recognition may be accomplished.

The selected researchers will be granted 36 months contracts to run their research projects, with a gross salary of 28,800€/year, plus a mobility allowance of 4,800€/year. Tuition fees, Research, training & networking costs will be covered by Cofund DOCFAM+ program. International secondments are strongly recommended for better formation of fellows. Estimated starting date: 1st January 2025.

The call is open for researchers from any nationality. Applicants must hold a MSc degree before the application deadline, and they should not have resided, worked or studied in Spain for more than 12 months in the previous 3 years.
