Dear colleagues,
This intends to be the first of a series of (more frequent) messages
about the state of PAPI technology. We'd like to inform you about the
availability of:
* New data in the FAQ (http://papi.rediris.es/dist/pod/PAPI-faq.html)
about the installation procedures to follow for Debian GNU/Linux.
* New and updated proxy definitions, most notably the access to ISI Web
of Knowledge with complete full-text access integration, the support
for the new access procedures of Springer and Wiley Interscience, and
the inclusion of DOI translation support through the PAPI proxy.
You can check them at http://papi.rediris.es/comu/proxies/
* The candidate PAPI-1.3.1 release through the CVS repository, available
at http://cvs.rediris.es/cvsweb/papi/
Athough we are polishing some details prior to the official
announcement, the software and the documentation are already pretty
stable.
* The first successful tests of the PADATH (the PAPI Adaptor to Athens),
that allows PAPI-enabled sites to use Athens Devolved Authentication
(http://www.athensams.net/development/devolved_authentication/) to
reach resources protected by the Athens system.
Best regards,
