The PAPI Development Team is proud to announce a new release, PAPI 1.3.0. This new version is available at the brand new PAPI web site: http://papi.rediris.es/ The more salient feature of the new version is that it incorporates the possibility for a PoA to use a specific WAYF GPoA. This implies that PAPI authentication servers are now able to answer direct attribute queries coming from PoAs, so the initial connection to the (set of) available PoA(s) upon successful authentication is no longer required: users can go to target sites one by one, and no data are sent to non-accessed targets. An open WAYF interface has been defined to allow the use of federative services where available. Apart from this, the new version includes important enhancements on attribute handling, LDAP access, authentication methods, and authotization procedures. You can see the complete list of new features at http://papi.rediris.es/dist/itstory.html The new PAPI web site is intended to improve access and diffusion of the PAPI technology, easing the interaction among the user community and making information easier to publish, browse and search.
