Postdoctoral Position
 Theoretical and Computational Physics

 A postdoctoral position is immediately available to work on a project
 involving modelling of epidemic spread at the Centro de Fisica Teorica e
 Computacional da Universidade de Lisboa (see
 cftc.cii.fc.ul.pt/RESEARCH/projects.htm)

 The objective is to develop computational tools to study spatially
 extented models of epidemic spread, combining the techniques of non-linear
 partial differential equations, dynamical systems and statistical physics,
 that we are using on a variety of current projects, with emphasis on
 simulations of cellular automata and/or small-world networks.

 Applicants should have a PhD in physics, applied mathematics, chemistry
 or engineering, with experience in scientific computing, preferably
 non-linear dynamics or statistical physics simulations. Experience of
 parallel computing will be a plus. The salary is approximately 1500
 euros per month. Reconduction for an additional year is possible.
