I'm getting = voy a obtener

Fijémonos que se usa un gerundio para expresar un futuro

-What are you getting for Christmas? = que obtendrás (que te van a regalar) para Navidad?
- I asked for a pony, but I think I'm getting a bicycle = Pedí un poney pero creo que tendré una bicicleta
I have got = tengo (presente) / he obtenido (pret. perfecto)
I am getting = recibiré, me darán, obtendré (futuro) / estoy recibiendo (presente)

to find = encontrar

to find out =  descubrir, saber, informarse
