The Call for Papers for the conference on “Health and Environment. Economic modelling of how health and environment interact in a changing world.” It will take place in Essen, Germany, between 17th and 19th May 2018. 

It is the aim of the conference to provide a forum for health economists, bringing together frontier research, which contributes to a deeper understanding of how the environment shapes health and socioeconomic outcomes.

•Environmental toxins, pollution and health outcomes
•The impact of the environment on mental health and subjective well-being
•Demand for clean air and environmental quality
•Dealing with adaptation behaviour
•Natural disasters
•Environmental regulation and public interventions to improve health
•Genes or environment –decomposing the intergenerational transmission of health
•Work environment, health and labour productivity
•Early life exposure –effects, mechanisms and remedies
