Dear Colleagues,
the summer school 'Phase-field models for the evolution of complex
structures' will take place in the village of Peyresq, southern
France,
from 05/09/2022 to 16/09/2022. Intended principally for Ph.D.
students
and young researchers, the school will review various fundamental
aspects of this modelling method, and then discuss applications
in several different fields, mainly related to microstructure
evolution in materials. More information can be found in the
attached
flyer, as well as at our web site,
http://pmc.polytechnique.fr/~mp/PFschool2022.html

We send this announce to a list of colleagues and research
contacts that we have compiled between all the lecturers. However,
many persons are certainly missing; therefore, we would be
grateful
if you could forward this message to colleagues that might be
interested,
and especially to your students.
Peyresq is a historic village in the Alps of southern France, with
splendid possibilities for hiking, and the seminar center will
provide an extremely nice environment for a productive stay.
The application for the school is open as of now; in total, there
is
space for only 32 participants. So, if you would like to
participate, apply
as early as possible !
A note on COVID: should the pandemic situations worsen again as
the dates
for the school approach, the event will be cancelled. No virtual
or hybrid
version is planned.
