Las candidaturas se aceptan en tres categorías (periodismo general, fotoperiodismo y vídeo) y pueden presentarlas estudiantes de periodismo y jóvenes periodistas de los Estados miembros de la UE, los países vecinos y los países en vías de adhesión.
