¿Qué hacer en vacaciones con la suscripcion a Infoling?
A todos aquellos que tengan la suerte de poderse tomar
unas vacaciones en este período del año
(Con un nota final de eurohumor lingüístico

preferido permanecer en el anonimato...)

¿Qué hacer en vacaciones con la suscripcion a Infoling?
Generalmente, el tráfico de las listas disminuye
notablemente en la época estival (del hemisferio desde
donde os escribimos) y los usuarios también disminuyen la
frecuencia de acceso a su buzón.
Para evitar que dicho buzón se sature, NO ES NECESARIO
DARSE DE BAJA de Infoling, sino que, simplemente, podéis
cambiar a NOMAIL la opción de vuestra suscripción:
Opción NOMAIL
Con esta opción, vuestra dirección de correo se
mantendrá suscrita, pero sin recibir ningún mensaje de la
lista. Para modificar vuestra suscripción a NOMAIL, basta
con enviar el siguiente mensaje:

Cuando regreséis de vacaciones, volvéis a cambiar la
opción a MAIL de la siguiente forma:

Asimismo, al regresar de las vacaciones, podéis
consultar la información que se ha mandado a la lista en
la página de Infoling en Internet:
http://listserv.rediris.es/archives/infoling.html
Recordad que sólo podréis modificar las opciones de
vuestra suscripción, si enviáis el correo electrónico
desde la dirección suscrita a la lista. Si mandáis el
mensaje desde una dirección diferente, no se aceptará el
cambio. (Se trata de una medida de seguridad para evitar
cambios indeseados de las opciones de suscripción).

Sobre la integración lingüística en la Unión Europea:
European Commission language announcement
The European Commission has just announced an
agreement whereby English will be the official language of
the European Union rather than German, which was the other
possibility.
As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty´s Government
conceded that English spelling had some room for
improvement and has accepted a 5 year phase-in plan that
would be known as "EuroEnglish".
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c".
Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with
joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the "k".
This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have 1
less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond
year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with the
"f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling
kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated
changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the
removal of double letters, which have always ben a
deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the
horible mes of the silent "e"´s in the language is
disgraceful, and they should go away.
By the 4th yar, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v" (French request).
